The IRA Charitable Rollover provision signed into law in 2015 allows donors age 70 ½ and older to transfer up to $100,000 directly from their IRA to the Wyoming School Foundation or other qualified charities. Donors do not have to count the transfers as income for federal income tax purposes, and transfers can serve as the required minimum distribution (RMD).
Transfers must come from your IRA directly to the Wyoming School Foundation. Other retirement assets in other accounts must first be rolled into an IRA, and then transferred directly to the designated charity.
