Congratulations to WHS seniors Andrew Burns and Meredith Guest (pictured with Coach Jim Frondorf)! Andrew and Meredith were selected to receive the Wyoming School Foundation's 2023-2024 Lily Parker Go the Distance Scholarship.
The Lily Parker Go The Distance Scholarship recognizes cross-country athletes who best exemplify the spirit of the sport and the life lessons it teaches.
The award is named in honor of Lily Parker, a 2018 WHS graduate & cross country participant, who, besides being an excellent student, exemplifies that striving towards goals drives performance, adds meaning to work, and that even the most difficult tasks can be achieved if one is willing to invest the necessary time and effort.
The Scholarship is awarded to one female and one male student who have participated in the high school cross country program for at least 3 seasons including senior year, and who have earned a cumulative GPA that’s within the top half of the senior class.
