We were honored to represent the Foundation at the second annual presentation of the Kaia Grant Badge of Bravery and Sacrifice Award. Led by Kenneth L. Parker, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, the Law Enforcement and Community Service Awards recognize exceptional policing, community engagement, and bravery.
While at Wyoming High School, Officer Kaia Grant '05 was remembered by all who knew her as an honored scholar, athlete, and spirited leader. Kaia always exhibited a strong desire to serve others. After earning her degree from the College of William and Mary, Kaia joined the Springdale Police Department where she faithfully served and protected the community (2012-2020).
In April 2022, the Foundation dedicated a memorial sign in Kaia's honor which is located at the main entrance of the WHS Athletic Complex. Kaia is deeply missed and always remembered.
